Day 3…but what day is it???

Starting the day in sunshine with birds chirping makes me happy, my kid too. We began the day with reading and writing and it worked out better than yesterday! Yesterday, we did math and science early, but I lost his best attention when it came time to sit still and read quietly later on. So

My dad has been suggesting to me for well over a decade now, that I must learn to “rest in the nest”. I don’t know why it has taken me so long to apply and sort of accept what the heck that even means! But I guess years later, I’m starting to figure it out.
